There used to be an ice cream shop in Tuscaloosa across from Innis. I was 16 years old when I first visited the University of Alabama, and after a long day of touring, my father and I stopped by the shop for a cone. I walked up to the counter, checked out my options, and told the waitress, “I’ll have the Subon.” She looked at me like I had five heads—I had just mispronounced the name of the legendary head coach, Nick Saban. She must have thought there was no way I would be attending Alabama in the fall with zero clue about football. But it’s true. I went to an all-girls private school and never watched football unless it was the Super Bowl. Even then, I was just there for the food.
Now, here I am, having graduated from the University of Alabama, not only as an ADPi alumna but also as a true Alabama football fan. I miss tailgates on the quad and game days at Bryant-Denny Stadium. In this state of nostalgia, I created three adorable outfits for your next game day.
